This is first experience with fit-over glasses and I was pleasantly surprised. They feel more durable then the drugstore fit-overs and the Cocoons have thicker stronger frames and the lenses feel stronger and more durable. A little more expensive than the $20 polarized drugstore ones but you can tell the difference in quality. I was not willing to try fit-overs for style reasons (bulk/AARP style). These sunglasses are obviously slimmer than the old fit-overs. They appear as normal sunglasses except from the side where the side-lenses are visible. Basically looks similar to fishing wear. I have tried numerous clip-ons and the advantage of the Cocoons is the "wrap" effect of eliminating the sunlight leaking through the top and sides of normal clip-ons. The sun when leaking through clip-ons makes it difficult to see when facing the sun of when the sun is shining directly on you and your focusing on a shaded darker location. The fit of the mini-slims is snug and just barely fits over my smaller spectacles. I measured and matched my spectacles to the Cocoon website so I knew exactly what my options were. I ordered online from (2) sites and received both a sand/grey lens and a black/amber. One package (black/amber) arrived in a new box with a sunglass cord to hang on neck, a nice neoprene carrying case, also a microfiber soft case, and (2) microfiber cleaning cloths. The other didn't include the soft case. I choose to keep the black/amber to my surprise. Mainly because the clarity is great (grey has been my lens choice for years). I recently have done a few bike rides in the hot afternoon sun without the need of a baseball cap to prevent the sun leakage. Driving with the new sunglasses has been great also due to fit and clarity. I did notice the glasses slightly decrease peripheral vision due to the wrap design but isn't a issue for me. Also it seems as Cocoon has discontinued some models and you'll know that what you're buying is not new/old stock.
