(More customer reviews)Many years ago I bought a pair of Bolle sunglasses at a local big-box store and came to absolutely love them.Prior to that I didn't know anything about Bolle and had never owned a pair of their sunglasses.Well I wore out that first pair, sat on them a few times, and recently went looking for the exact replacement.Unfortunately the model I had was discontinued and the closest in style seemed to be this model (Hampton), although this one is larger overall.

Make no mistake about it, these aren't a pair of cheap lightweight plastic sunglasses.They're sturdy and well built, thus may be slightly heavier than what you're used to if you compare them against an average pair of prescription eyeglasses or a set of classic RayBan aviator sunglasses.But they don't seem overly heavy to me... just robust.They're excellent high quality sunglasses in every respect.When worn, they give off a hint of retro late-1960's... like picture yourself pulling up in your convertible to a backyard BBQ in the Hamptons!

Just make sure you understand what you're buying and review the dimensions first.If the look and size suit you, you won't be disappointed by these sunglasses.

Polarized TNS: Neutral density gray lens with polarizing filter. Provides true color definition while fighting harsh glare. Ideal for everyday all-purpose use. Permits 12 percent of visible light transmission.
Polarized Sandstone: High contrast amber lens with polarizing filter. Ideal for everyday high glare conditions. Permits 18 percent of visible light transmission.
Polarized Axis: Customized lens providing the ultimate in comfort vision, soothing the eyes against harsh sun rays and providing a polarized filter to fight glare. Permits 16 percent of visible light transmission.

Visible Light Transmission: Percentage of light that passes through the lens, depending upon the tint and density of each lens. Darker lenses have a lowerlight transmission percentage as less light is allowed to pass through the lenses, and lighter lenses have a higher transmission percentage as more light passes through.
Anti-Reflective Coating: Glare comes from two directions. This scientifically engineered coating on the backside of the lens eliminate backside glare to reduce eye strain.
Polarization: This optically precise filter embedded in the lens eliminate most glare and reflected light.
