There are a large number of choices available for eyeglass retainers.I found chains of various materials and lengths, cords made of leather, suede, and plastic.I found retainers that attached at the end of the bow, and the middle of the bow.When I noticed that Croakies offered retainers that were long enough for an easy fit and comfortable to put on, I ordered them.

The Croakies Sewn Cord Leather Retainers are attractive.They have an excellent leather cord for a neck band that is very comfortable to wear.The retainer keeps the glasses readily available.The overall length of the cord is perfect for my long term use.

I am especially pleased that these are retainers that attach at the middle of the bow.I sought such retainers to prevent them from detaching from the glasses while hanging from my neck awaiting use.The fasteners on these, however, are loose enough that they can slowly slip off the glasses when theyrest on the chest while not being used.So I am careful with them. A firmer grip would be better.

I recommend these Croakies "Eye Wear Retainers Sewn Cord Leather."They are one of the best I have found.
