(More customer reviews)I tend to be really picky about lens quality.Any little scratch, change in color, or optical distortion really bugs me.The ND Gray lenses subtly improve color contrast to make it easier to see things like yellow lines on the road or traffic lights, but they do not substantially affect any colors.Something is different about the polarization in these lenses vs. other sunglasses that I have owned - the effect looking into glass is more noticeable.Overall, I would rate the quality of these lenses as excellent.

If anything, I think these lenses are a bit dark for my taste.They'll be great for a bright, cloudless day at the beach.If you're hiking in a forest or driving on a cloudy day or at dusk, these might be darker than you are looking for.While driving, I'd like to see the dashboard of my car easier while wearing these.My previous pair of sunglasses were not quite as dark and had a gradient tint which served this purpose very well.

I took one star off my rating based on the frame.Notice how the screws are located on top of the nose.These actually stick out to a fair degree, putting them in my field of vision.Adjusting the nose pieces helped a bit, but I am going to have to deal with them.You'll also notice the plastic going across the top - there's actually a fair amount of strong, heavy plastic in these frames and they do create a considerable amount of weight.Compared to my old Revos, these are probably 3x the overall weight.A little sturdier, yes, but I wouldn't call that necessary for my own use.

For anybody wondering about the size of the lenses, these are on the larger size for the rounded rectangular style.My personal preference is to have a smaller lens.If you feel that your best fit comes from larger lenses and frames, these should suit you very well.

Buying sunglasses online is hard, but better than paying full price in a retail store.Hopefully this information will help you make the best decision for your needs.
