(More customer reviews)This review is of the plain gloss black frame with brown polar lenses.
I usually wear cheap, $20 drugstore sunglasses. I bought these because (1) I liked the idea of the anti-slip nose and ear pieces for outdoor activities; (2) I wanted to try polarized lenses to see if they're really that much better; (3) I wanted a slightly nicer look than my cheap glasses.
The fit was terrible on me, but I'm reviewing just the look and quality impressions, since everyone's face is different. If you have a small-to-medium face and the bridge of your nose is relatively flat, these might not work well for you.The description said the nose piece is adjustable, but it's not as adjustable as glasses where the nose pads are on those little metal arms that can be tweaked fairly independently of the frame. The nose pad on these is rubber over wire, and it seems they could move only sideways, not up or down.I didn't really try since I was returning the glasses.
I had ordered the gloss black with tortoise frame, but was sent the plain gloss black frame. The quality seems fine. The look was a bit disappointing. Wasn't too crazy about the shiny black plastic; to me, they didn't look much different than cheap drugstore glasses. I haven't had polarized lenses before so no real basis for comparison, but the view didn't seem especially amazing. I guess I'd hoped for a noticeable improvement by paying a bit more.Since I didn't wear them for extended periods I can't say how well the anti-slip works.
So overall these seem like they would be solid, functional basic sunglasses, but the full price seems a bit high.Maybe worth it if they fit you well and if the anti-slip feature really works.
