The Bollé Spiral sunglasses are really something.

In my case, I purchased the Plasma colored frame with the TNS Gun polarizer.

The Plasma color is similar to wine's color, maybe somewhat lighter. In my case I bought this color because black frames are so typical and I wanted something more original.

The TNS Gun polarizer is the only one offered with this frame color, so I was pretty much stuck with it.

I use this pair for driving in highways and off road mostly. I live in a desert, so the lightning during daytime can be pretty harsh on the eyes. It's even more aggressive on highways and off road than on the city due to the fact that light reflects more harshly on dry grass and pavement than it does on buildings (most of the time that is).

What I like about these lenses:

- They cover your eyes completely, sealing them from light. They cover your eye socket completely, including to the sides. Most sunglasses just cover your eyes in the front but leave the sides exposed, these pair doesn't.

- The TNS Gun polarizer is perfect. It cuts off glare and excess brightness while allowing you to see with no light loss. Other sunglasses tend to cut between 15 and 25% of the light available, these don't. The fact they cut off glare or the excess of brightness makes your eyes less sore and less tired when driving long distances.

- The lenses have a yellowish tint on them. I've noticed that when I use these lenses, things get a yellow tint, which ain't bad, I prefer the colors I see with them sometimes more to the real ones. This is my personal preference. The reason I write it down is so know because the official info doesn't mention this and you may not like it. If you don't you should look into other polarizers in the Bollé line that don't do this. I think the Polarized TNS Gun doesn't do this. Check Bollé's official site for more info.

- The lenses are light, they don't weight too much so you can wear them all day long and they won't put strain on your face.

- Overall, they are pretty resistant to the normal wear and tear.

- They make you look badass :P

What I DON'T like about these lenses:

- They fog up. If you press the lenses completely against your face, they will fog up and you won't be able to see. This is because the lenses form a seal around your eye sockets that when your eyes and skin sweat, the heat doesn't have any place to go. The workaround for this is to leave some space so the skin and eyes and breathe and the lenses won't fog up.

- Back to the yellow tint issue, in some rare cases it may make look things in a state they are not due to the color. In two occations I've been mislead by it. Not a big issue but worth mentioning.

- They don't fold completely when closed. This is a personal issue, but I'd like to be able to store them on my vest pocket when I get out of the car to take photos. Since I don't like using sunglasses when using a camera, I take them off, but usually I got to leave them in the car since they are somewhat bulky for me to carry when they are closed. This may not be an issue to you though.

The lenses come with 1 year warranty and the possibility of adding a coat to the lenses so they won't scratch and last forever (at a cost of course). The box includes the lenses, carrying case, cleaning cloth and warranty and instruction cards.

Personally, I'm really satisfied with these lenses. The price was nice when I bought them and they have served me well.

The construction of these lenses is superb, so there is no worry they will fall apart on you.

If you're looking for a good pair of sunglasses, give a good look to these, they may just be what you're looking for.
