Many of my guy friends have been told they look like they lead an alternative life style in these, but I've never gotten any of that. I bought these as a backup to my aviator shades, but now I wear them everywhere. These are great for biking, they really keep the wind out of your eyes when driving, and the amber lens improves your eyesight by changing the contrast of your vision.

UroanSpecs claims that these have a metal frame, but all i can see is the plastic. They're durable, but they seem like they'd shatter from a hard wack. You just have to take care of them, like all the rest of your stuff.

These are comparable in style to Serengetis, the lens makes it easy to see things on the ground while still blocking out the sun. They aren't too dark or too light, but I've never taken them anywhere such as California or Nevada. I can't seem to pull up the 5 level European scale, but I think they're about a 3, where four is for high intensity light, and 5s are desert sunglasses.
