Julbo Nomad Sunglasses - Alti Spectron 4 Lens Review

Julbo Nomad Sunglasses - Alti Spectron 4 Lens

I just ordered a second pair of these after my first pair came to an unfortunate demise canyoneering (not sure if any pair of sunglasses can survive a pack landing on them from 30 ft up).My only major complaint is that they can fog up in cold weather.I like the plastic side pieces better than the cloth/rubber ones on other models since they do not retain water and dry off much quicker. The biggest reason I came back to this model is that they fit my face nicely but I imagine this is variable person to person.

Product Description:
Julbo Nomad Sunglasses' Alti Spectron X4 Lenses reduce visible light transmission to only 5% so you don't go snow-blind on the summit ridge of some remote peak. Removable plastic shields prevent light from sneaking in through the sides, and wraparound temples keep the Nomad Sunglasses from slipping off and taking an unexpected ride all the way to the glacier. Take off the side shields, and these Julbo sunglasses take on a sporty look and low-profile shape that works for a day on the trail or at the crag.

Fitovers Eyewear Sunglasses - Razor / Frame: Black Rubber Lens: Gray Polarized Review

Fitovers Eyewear Sunglasses - Razor / Frame: Black Rubber Lens: Gray Polarized
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've been using these fitover sunglasses for several years now, and I'm ordering my third pair today. There are many companies which produce sunglasses which you can wear over your prescription glasses, but I prefer Fitovers, and this is why:
1.Appearance - You get a variety of styles with Fitovers, plus a variety of frame and lens color.I personally don't find the knock offs to be as attractive or as versatile when it comes to appearance.
2.Quality - I must admit that I do have to replace mine every year or so due to scratching, but I wear them nearly every day and I have such a busy lifestyle that I am VERY careless when it comes to caring for them. They tend to be found either loose inside my crowded purse, or hanging from a chair, or on top of a pile of boxes and papers, or even on steps to my deck. And when I find they get dirty (I am an avid gardener and hiker), I usually just use my shirt or skirt to clean them. But the frames are very durable and the lenses are high quality polarized material. My mother has had the same pair for over 10 years, and hers are still in pristine condition.
3.Design - I like the fact that the entire eye area is covered, and therefore you don't get glare coming in from the edge of your vision. Further, I am pleased that I can either hang them from a cord or flip them up over my head when I am inside.
4.Affordability - well, they aren't as cheap as what you can get from Walmart, but then I am not wearing the Walmart brand because they don't satisfy me.Even if I had to buy one pair a year, considering the fact that I basically wear them every day, that comes to less than a dollar per week, and less than 0.12 a day.
5.Variety - I myself prefer the Razor model, but I have varied in lens color. However, if I wished, I could have several different designs, with several different colored frames, and many lens colors. I believe that certain colors, such as yellow(?)are better lenses for people who drive a great deal, but I don't know.I myself just pick the color for what feels right for my eyes and for what I think looks best.

So I'm giving these lil beauties a 5 star rating and then I'm off to finish up with my purchase!

The product is true to its looks and a great deal for the price. I've warn them for a couple days now and I like them quite a bit. They are lightweight and comfortable on my face, although it touches my right eyebrow sometimes which is odd so I think the frame might be a bit tweaked. But overall I like the product and am happy that I bought them.

Julbo Micropore Mountain Sunglasses Review

Julbo Micropore Mountain Sunglasses
Average Reviews:

I took a pair of these to Antarctica for the summer season there, and left them in the pocket of my coat when I turned it back in in Christchurch. :( Good sunglasses and with the nose leather piece there's no danger of burns on the nose from the cold. Basically these would be silly sunglasses for fashion, but would serve you well on the ice or at high altitudes. I bought a cheaper pair later to replace my lost pair, but haven't been as happy with them.

Sherpa by Julbo Review

Sherpa by Julbo

I used these on an 8,000ft glacier in the Caucasus Mountains in Russia. My brothers wore the $140 Julbos.Although they looked pretty nice, we couldn't tell a difference. On our way down from the summit of 18,510ft we climbed straight into an electrical storm.Their face received a little zap because their Julbos had stiff, metal frames. These Julbo Sherpa glasses have flexible rubber frames that are very comfortable on your face and curl behind your ears so they don't slip off.I never needed to adjust other than pushes them up off of my nose due to sweat. These are great and durable glasses. Also, they are lightweight and don't take up much room!
