Costa Del Mar PERMIT sunglasses Review

These sunglasses are hands down the finest polarized fishing sunglasses I've ever used. They are very comfortable for a larger-than-average sized head and the optical quality is fantastic. You can wear these from sunrise to sunset and your eyes don't get tired and they offer great visibility into the water. Construction seems very good and the glass lenses seem durable so far without being heavy.I bought these because my older and more expensive polarized glasses seemed to trap the wind inside of them and direct it back at my eyes resulting in dry and irritated eyes.Basically, if there was even a slight breeze behind me, my eyes would be watering from the wind being directed off the inside of the lenses at my eyes. With these Costa Permits, I don't have any of those problems.they seem to vent perfectly while still offering complete wraparound coverage.

One thing that you may not be able to see in the pictures that I was pleasantly surprised with is the rubber lining on the inside of the frames and earpieces. These help hold the glasses in place on your face, especially when wet from rain or sweat. But, even with this feature, I still need a Chums strap to cinch them to my head so they stay put.I do a lot of musky fishing and spend all day looking down into the water watching for follows. The Chums strap holds them in place nicely.

Costa Del Mar MAN-O-WAR sunglasses Review

I've had the Costa Del Mar Man-o-War 580 Tortoise Green Mirror for about a week now. I wanted to wait to write this review until I've had the chance to use them while driving, riding my bike and just everyday sunglasses.

I bought the Costa's to replace my Maui Jim 405-10 Makaha which broke after about 5 years. I have been a Maui Jim fan for years. I have light sensitive eyes and like the clarity and cripness of the colors from the Maui Jim's. I purchased the 409-10 Kanaha and the Costa's to try them both out.

I read other reviews that stated that the Costa's were uncomfertable and too heavy compared to the Maui Jim's, so I was skeptical, but wanted to try them anyway. I am glad I did!

The Costas are a little heavier than the Maui Jim's, but they make up for it in clarity and even better colors. The side shields are perfect for riding, while they are removable, I dont have a reason to remove them. The glasses are a little larger than the Maui Jim's but nothing that makes them look bad. The Costa's have a glass lense, which you can tell right away helps see clearer. I would still recommend Maui's, however for people with light sensitive eyes that wear contacts, go with these glasses! They look great, feel great and help you see great!
