Heys USA ePac05 Rolling Laptop Backpack Review

Heys USA ePac05 Rolling Laptop Backpack

I got this backpack as a gift from my sister and I can't say enough how happy I am with it. I fly a lot for work and I also walk to work a mile a day. Whether I wear is as a backpack or roll it behind me it is a breeze to use. Prior to owning this pack, I had to lug around an uncomfortable laptop case provided by work that was really killing my back.
It fits a 15" dell with room to spare, it can fit quite a bit of things and fit in the overheads in small jets. It is simply perfect for me. My coworker bought one 2 weeks later seeing how awesome it is.

OGIO Metro Backpack Review

OGIO Metro Backpack
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'm a frequent road warrior with "unique" needs in stuff transportation - my friends refer to my car as "the place things go to die" because I pretty much trash anything I come in contact with. I have worn out more bags in my day than I ever thought possible, and if anything lasts me more than a week I'm fairly pleased with it.

I got an Ogio Metro backpack from my workplace as part of an attendance incentive, and didn't think too much of it. Its not a bag I would have bought myself (I usually buy snowboarder backpacks due to the more rugged construction) but I'd just worn out my messenger bag so I started using this one. I have never been more pleased with a laptop bag in my entire life.

The main laptop pocket works perfect for my dell inspiron, and the inside pocket (the file pouch or whatever) fits my macbook pro like a snug glove (yes, both at once) while leaving the majority of the open section empty and ready for my stuff. A few water bottles, couple of notebooks (I use the thin 1" ones for most things, athough it'd probably hold 2-3 of the "normal" sized ones), some other gear, a couple paperbacks and some peripherals fit easily, there's a couple waterproof pockets with headphone holes for my iPod and would fit a small CD-walkman if I had one, and with my blood sugar issues I LOVE the smaller side pouches because they're perfect for a couple candy bars in case I have a sugar attack. Digital camera goes in another pocket for quick access, with its usb cable and some spare batteries in another.

Padded ribbing and neopropene (sp?) helps the comfort, along with some webbed padding in the shoulder straps. Weight distribution is good, and it survives getting thrown around in and out of my car and never has a problem. The hand grip on the top (by which I frequently drag the bag) is both comfortable and integrated into the design rather than being sewn on as an afterthought so is much more durable than most grips.

Although I'd never have bought this bag to begin with (I'd never even HEARD of Ogio) I would buy another without hesitation and suggest it to anyone who needs a new bag even if they don't need it for an actual laptop.

Rick Steves Veloce Bag Review

Rick Steves Veloce Bag

This bag is like Hermione's beaded bag in the last Harry Potter installment. You can cram a whole lot into this bag, even before you expand it. I carried a laptop with all the junk plus water bottle, books, jacket, iPod, and more on recent trips through Alaska and to San Francisco, all with relative comfort. While it takes some getting used to, I really appreciate the top loading zipper versus having to open the flap. Why is there a flap? Well, near as I can tell, it is so the additional outer pocket has room to expand when the main unit is expanded, a thoughful design. I would imagine I could also strap my jacket in there versus putting it inside.

Victorinox Bond (Closeout) Review

Victorinox Bond

This product really is worth the additional money. I am continually amazed at how much I can fit into it - yet, it never becomes too bulky or heavy. It really distributes weight well. I am a college student and use it for school; it carries my laptop very nicely. It is also usually my only item of luggage when travelling (it truly holds everything!)

OGIO Politan Pack Review

OGIO Politan Pack
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I found the back very well constructed and thought out. I am able to carry my 15in dell laptop with me without any problems. It will hold a 17 in laptop also. It has plent of extra pockets to carry acessories or other small items. It has sufficient room for notebooks and a couple of books also. I my only issue is I wish the it has pinch more room to carry more books or folders. Don't get me wrong it carries more than most other similar notebook backpacks but I currently haveaneed to carry around 2 very thick books and a few smaller books. I just have to carry one in hand on those time sI need both just because i personally feel if I stuffed in the backpack it would apply too much pressure on the notebook and potientially cause harm to it. Other than that it is an EXCELLENT backpack and does not give the outwards appearance of a carrying a laptop so does not draw attention.

A+ for laptop backpack
A+ for extra storage room and well thought out design
A- for (personal preference) not giving just pinch more room for books

WOuld buy again if I had to. Last note is that it sits well on your back and does not shift weight while back when riding a bicycle or walking.

Thanks

Pacsafe VentureSafe 300 Vertical Travel Bag Review

Pacsafe VentureSafe 300 Vertical Travel Bag
Average Reviews:

I bought this bag for a recent trip to Italy - my first international trip - because I was concerned about petty theft.I had heard all kinds of stories from experienced travelers about pickpockets and thieves, and I specifically bought this bag for its security features.I can't say for sure how effective the security features are (how does one measure that?), but having this bag definitely put me at ease, and I had no problems with theft during my two-week trip (and I was in some pickpocket-heavy places). The larger, main pocket is great for items like notebooks or magazines (which I always carry, as a writer-grad student), with enough room for my travel journal, netbook and travel guides; the front pocket is perfect for keeping smaller things, like keys, camera and cash convenient.I kept my passport folio and credit cards in the "hidden pocket" in the back, which is deep enough that you can essentially keep these things "buried", and then I kept my daily spending cash in a little interior pocket in the front compartment. The water bottle pocket on the side was big enough to hold a full liter-size bottle (essential if you're in Italy in the summer), and - amazingly enough - even when the water bottle was wet from condensation or from filling, while the outside of the bag became wet, my items inside stayed perfectly dry. This bag even proved useful as an overnight bag on a trip to Venice - it was big enough to hold all my regular stuff, plus a set of clothes and toiletries for the next day.
