Native Eyewear Attack Sunglasses Review

Native Eyewear Attack Sunglasses

Over the years I've bought many sunglasses out of necessity, but this is the first one that I actually like to wear. The nose pads and temple boots of this product are very good in that it doesn't cause me any pain even if I wear it for hours. This is not for a person with a small head, though.

It comes with 3 pairs of lenses. I like the bronze reflex the most. (But the reflex models cost 20 USD more.)

It comes with a semi-hard case. It is probably good for protecting the glasses, but it's too bulky to carry it around and I don't use it. Fortunately the lenses and the frame are both quite durable it seems, and I haven't had any issue yet.

I've lost this in the airport after a year or so of use, and bought the same one. Native Eyewear doesn't list this model on their web page any more, so I guess this model is discontinued. If I lose this, I'll probably buy another Native product, but I'll miss the design of Attack.

Oakley Men's M Frame Sunglasses Review

Oakley Men's M Frame Sunglasses

PROS: Comfortable, Durable, Optimal clarity, lightweight, easy to replace lens.
CONS: No hydrophobic coating on the lens. The Industrial M Frame model 11-162 is often mistaken for the M Frame 09-102 which also comes with grey Strike lens, and overall looks similar to the 11-162. This M Frame model has Strike type lens, only difference with the lens on this industrial M Frame is that the lens is longer on the sides for an enhanced eye protection from the side. The lens, being industrial, also doesn't have the words Oakley engraved on the front of the lens unlike the other lenses from the Radar and M Frame series. Of course, you can just get any replacement M Frame lens and have it fixed onto the frame. Replacing lenses is easier than the Radar! This M Frame feels really good on the face, and I use it occasionally for cycling, switching to and fro between my Radar depending on the conditions. The large unobstructed lens of the Strike lens helps in vision and Oakley's HDO really help. The only downside of the M Frame lenses are that they don't have the Hydrophobic coating like the Radars, so they stain more easily, but its just as easy to wipe it clean with the supplied micro fibre bag! The frame feels very durable and its pretty light. Overall, the shades look really cool and I highly recommend this product!

Product Description:
A great choice for rough-and-tumble outdoor play, Native's Throttle sunglasses offer a unique interchangeable lens system that lets you switch lenses without having to put your fingers all over the lens. These P.C.C. (Polarized Crystal Carbonate) optical-quality, impact-resistant lenses block 100 percent of harmful UV light and eliminate glare for sharp, clear vision with increased contrast and depth perception. The Throttle comes with three sets of lenses, and it offers an optimal fit for medium profiles.
The self-adjusting Cushinol nosepads and ear stems create a non-slip grip that keeps sunglasses in place, and the cam-action spring hinges allow the temples to quickly lock into position. Other features include:

Rhyno-Tuff Air Frames: A proprietary high-performance thermoplastic material that is extremely lightweight, yet durable enough to withstand high velocity collisions and temperature extremes.
Venting system: Incorporates exhaust vents into its design framework to enhance airflow, which virtually eliminates fog and condensation. This unique design feature is the only system available that allows maximum ventilation while blocking extraneous incoming light.
Mastoid Temple Grip: This proprietary design feature ensures the temple ends hug the mastoid bone (behind your ears), providing a secure and comfortable fit.
Anti-Ocular Intrusion System: Designed to prevent your lenses from dangerously shooting toward your eyes in the event of a high velocity impact.

Oakley Men's M Frame Strike Sunglasses Review

Oakley Men's M Frame Strike Sunglasses
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased the 09-102 M Frame Strike after I saw it being worn by Matt Damon in Green Zone as I thought it looked really good and pretty cool at the same time. Upon receiving it, I was surprised at how light it was. Its also very durable, and I believe the frame can last a long time. The Strike lens is just right for my face, probably because I have a fairly large face. Some might say the lens is huge, but I think its perfect for me. Overall fit is very comfortable and despite me being Asian, it actually fits me well. Its just as comfortable as my Asian Fit Radar which uses the Path lens. And through time, if I get bored of the lens, its very easy to simply remove and install a different set of lens! I use this M Frame mainly for cycling, and maybe on certain occasions, for casual outings as well. The only downside of the M Frame is that unlike the Radar, the lens doesn't have hydrophobic, so they stain easily. But its easily cleaned by using the supplied micro fiber bag. With that said, Oakley should start using hydrophobic for the M Frame's as well, why they haven't done so, is beyond me. The M Frame has had a long legacy and is still worn today by the military (as shown in the Green Zone movie) even though the more superior Radar has been around for quite some time now. And if it can withstand the effects of war, I'm pretty sure it can withstand my cycling routes!
