Mark Nason Messenger Bag Review

Mark Nason Messenger Bag

This is a great bag! It's extremely well made. Not only is it stitched well, but it also has metal clamps built into areas where there will be stress from weight or wear. The bag is a tad larger than I expected, which is great because I was concerned with what I could cary inside. It easily holds my 13" Macbook and I could even fit a couple more next to it. The laptop fits with about half an inch to spare from even reaching the top of the bag and the bag's flap gives about a 2" arch to accommodatea wider laptop. My iphone fits in the external cell phone pocket and the two inside zipper pouches are big enough for a large thick wallet. There are also 4 small pockets where one could place some credit cards or mini-notepads. Overall, this bag is not only gorgeous, but very practical too.

Bumkins Grande Diaper Bag Review

Bumkins Grande Diaper Bag
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have yet to find the perfect diaper bag, and my son is 18 months old! People ask me why the heck I'm still looking for one (when I have three and my son is almost out of diaper-bag-age) but I just can't stop looking because I want THE PERFECT ONE. Hence me trying this bag. And it's pretty good, but it's certainly not perfect. I actually haven't decided yet if I'm keeping it...and am hoping that by writing this review, I will make a decision.

PROS?

* I like the flat bottom so that it stays upright (something my current bag doesn't have).

* I like the outside end pockets--which are perfect for sippy cups, cell phones, or keys.

* I like most of the inside pockets--nicely elasticized, with room for bigger things like diapers and wipes (in one), a big tiered snack container, a receiving blanket, a few hars of foods, a handful of medicine bottles...or my wallet!

* Even with the inner pockets filled, there is still room on the bottom (well, in the center) to put more things like toys or books (if you haven't already put them in the pockets).

* It doesn't look like a diaper bag! Granted the one I got does have a big red heart on it so hubby might not be thrilled to carry it (vs. the all black one we have now) but I figure I'm the one using it 95% of the time, so he can live with the heart.

CONS?

* I dislike the "bow tie" closure. You can't do it one-handed and it doesn't close the bag. While it's nice to be able to look and reach in quick for something without having to unzip, because it's tied closed, it's not real easy to actually get something out. I will likely never use it and am contemplating cutting it off. A strong magnet might have been better (although if the bag was packed to the hilt, it wouldn't close). Just know that there is no way to seal off the entire bag.

* The straps themselves feel and look kind of cheap. They're just your basic flimsy polyester gym bag type handles. They have no no-slip gripper or padding of any kind plus they are kind of thin so they get twisted easily. Since they aren't adjustable, I'd much rather have stiffer round straps (I can't think of how to describe them, so look at this bag to see what I mean: Diaper Tote Bag Brown/Beige) that just fall to the side instead of getting tangled up in each other. So overall I just don't love them.

* I don't love the one big internal pocket on the one side. Yes, I realize it's most likely done that way because of the included changing pad (which is folded to fit in that section) but the changing pad is so thin that it can easily be folded in half again and would fit just as well if the one big pockets was turned into two pockets. There is a velcro strap that attaches at the mid-point so that the pocket doesn't get too out of control, but I don't love it. I'd rather have specific pockets.OTHER THINGS THAT ARE NEITHER PRO NOR CON FOR ME?

* There are no insulated pockets. This isn't a critical thing for me since I have insulated sippy cups, but if you want insulation, this has none.

* I'm not sure how to use the rings. The product features says "Rounded loop for easy key, cell phone, and stroller attachment" but I don't see how any of those "attachments" are possible without an additional product to make the connection. Other bags I've had have actual circular velcro tabs that will attach to a stroller OR an across-the-chest strap that will fit over a stroller handle...not so with this bag. And there's no way I could hook my keys to that ring without a caribiner clip or something. Or have a special case for my cell phone to allow that. Maybe I'm missing something, but I just don't get it. That said, it doesn't really affect my use of the bag at all.

So overall it's a nice bag and does a few things I like but has a few flaws as well. Do I like it better than my current bag? It's a toss up, because I do miss the shoulder strap...but I love that it will sit on its own. Is this bag better than others I have used? Definitely. This bag is really roomy and can hold quite a bit. But is this bag worth $40? For the moment, yes---but I think I'll test it for another few days just in case.

Diaper Dude Black Diaper Bag with Dragon Review

I already had a backpack style diaper bag which I liked ok...but it got to be a pain if I needed to grab something out of it.I had looked at the diaper dude bags before but didn't want to spend the extra cash. I ended up breaking down and buying one and haven't regretted it a bit. This bag has lots of room with several outer pockets to place frequently used items. If I need to get anything out of the bag I don't have to take it off to see what I'm doing, which I had to do with my backpack style bag.Plus the looks can't be beat....a variety of patterns in a handy messenger style bag.

timi & leslie Ruby Leather Convertible Baby Bag Review

I found this bag online while searching for the PERFECT diaper bag/purse combo. It seemed to have everything a mom and a woman could want: changing pad, diaper kit/wallet, many interior pockets, key fob, stroller attachments, detachable messenger strap, wrislet for mom's stuff, and tons of style to top it off. When I recieved it for Christmas I was estatic. But my joy soon faded as one of the main exterior zippers broke within a day of normal use. Three weeks in the key fob broke off as well. I'll continue to use the bag, since it cost so much, but it sure was a disappointment.

Diaper Dude Brown Pleather Messenger II diaper bag (flap) Review

I purchased this from Little Dudes and Divas for 20% on Father's Day.It was a cute bag but it didn't hold everything I needed for my two kids.If my potty trained boy didn't need a folded cushie potty set I think it would be fine. The other problem was it was clearly too big for me.I stand 5'2" and it was clearly made for a dude or taller person.I would've kept it if it didn't hang too low on my hip and if it was a little smaller.

Diaper Dude Pack Review

Diaper Dude Pack
Average Reviews:

I had such high hopes for this bag so when it failed in an unexpected way, I was really disappointed!

The bag is pretty well designed (thought I can think of a few enhancements) and my wife and I both love it. It's good for around town and was perfect when we were traveling.

On the airplane on the way home, however, we were hit with the dreaded BROKEN ZIPPER (and it wasn't even over-stuffed!). I was able to realign the threads, but we all know that once the zipper fails, it's going to happen again...maybe not today or tomorrow, but certainly while we are on a crowded bus or trying to quietly exit a lecture, or going through security at the airport...

Seriously, DiaperDude, this is supposed to be a DUDE's bag...a bag you can cram full of stuff and it will take it in stride and be all the happier for it. In the age of YKK and other high quality zippers, what would compel you to willingly add such an obvious Achilles heel to a bag that purports to be so tough?!

We'll be returning this one and getting something that doesn't rely on zippers. Diaper Dudes, if you're listening...I like the idea of your product, but I won't use it again (or recommend it) until you follow through with your commitment to being a tough, [...]bag!

Diaper Dude Messenger Ii Diaper Bag Review

Diaper Dude Messenger Ii Diaper Bag
Average Reviews:

This is a great bag! We used to use an open top bag that can be carried only using the handle, it was bulging with my little daughter's stuff. When we got the diaper dude bag and moved all the things to it, I thought something must be wrong because it felt really empty even with everything in it.

This bag has multiple pockets, some velcro'd, some zippered, and some open and there's the zippered roomy central area under the main flap with mesh pockets all around it.

This bag comes with a changing pad that can be folded into a small square and stroller straps to hang the bag on your stroller.

I liked how the bag was carried messenger style and the mobile phone pocket fit my Nokia N95 8GB without any problems. My wife was taking items from the front pockets while I was carrying the bag.

After using this bag, I think it can be used even by dudes without babies because all the pockets can be used for other things. And it looks great!

Note: When I ordered my bag through amazon it came with the changing pad but no stroller straps. I contacted the nice people at diaper dude and they immediately sent me one. So make sure you check yours when it arrives!
